CareMetx Announces Acquisition of Phyz Healthcare Solutions, a Digital Healthcare Company
The acquisition of Phyz Healthcare Solutions offers clients exposure to an expanded network of providers by embedding access to specialty therapies directly into the prescriber workflow.
Bethesda, Maryland, May 26, 2021 - CareMetx, a leading technology-enabled hub services company improving patient access to specialty medications, announced today it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Phyz Healthcare Solutions. The acquisition enables CareMetx to enhance the experience of key stakeholders in the specialty medication supply chain. CareMetx clients, manufacturers of specialty medication, will have access to an expanded network of providers and deeper insights about dispensing patterns. Providers will enjoy a more streamlined process for prescribing specialty therapies, which is increasingly complex, covered by pharmaceutical or medical benefits.
Phyz Healthcare Solutions, a digital healthcare company, provides BioPharma brand intelligent routing solutions. Powered by a proprietary technology platform that partners with prescribers, Phyz ensures patient access, education & adherence for the prescribed therapy. Phyz expedites complex processes with the goal to help providers and BioPharma manufacturers treat, reduce or cure chronic disease. Phyz has managed over 80,000 biologic prescriptions from its Rheumatology and Dermatology physician network across the United States.
CareMetx will leverage Phyz’s non-dispensing pharmacy to support current and future clients with the ability to facilitate enrollments directly into CareMetx hub programs from provider electronic medical records. The combination of CareMetx eServices and Phyz capabilities automates the steps between prescription and dispensing to accelerate patients in enrolling in manufacturer-sponsored programs.
